“Superbike Option” – This is a larger midpipe, muffler and muffler bracket. This system works on the DOHC 750F/900F/1100F and is designed to work with rearsets. It tucks in real tight and sweeps up behind the rearsets. The muffler bracket bolts to the rear master cylinder lug on your frame, very neat and tidy. It is designed for racing as the midpipe exit is increased to 2 ¼” and the Megaphone Muffler is 2 ¼” also with a straight through core and is 11” long. This system really breathes at peak rpm and has been noise tested at 94db at 50ft, half revs and at 102db peak revs, top gear on the track. This should meet all track restrictions. If you already have my Hindle 750F/900F or 1100F SS system this Superbike Option will retro fit to your current system perfectly and costs $544.95. If you are ordering the system for the first time it comes as a complete (full) system for $1027.95
Our test bike was a stock CB750F with 25,000kms. This bike was prepped for vintage racing but had no engine development or tuning ( not even a tuneup! ) and used a stock airbox (see graph). In back to back testing we made seven more horsepower through the midrange than the Winning Performance pipe that had been fitted. We also made a bit more peak power and huge increases in torque throughout the rev range as compared with the Winning Performance aftermarket exhaust (see comparison graph). See also our overlay graph with our standard Hindle System and the increase in peak power with Superbike Option midpipe/muffler. We expect more dramatic increases with the bigger displacement or modified engines that can really take advantage of the increased breathing capacity allowed with the Superbike Option.
